It has been decided to provide fuel to the health staff at selected filling stations from Friday.
The Secretary to the Ministry of Health stated that discussions were held with the Minister of Power and Energy Kanchana Wijesekera regarding the provision of fuel for health staff including doctors.
The Secretary stated that necessary steps will be taken to provide fuel to the health staff at selected filling stations in each district.
Accordingly, 09 filling stations have been selected for the Colombo District and 06 for the Gampaha District.
The Secretary to the Ministry of Health further stated that the support of the public is also required to make this task a success.
