A lorry transporting and loaded with garbage tea suspected to export under the name of Ceylon Tea was taken into custody by STF personnel at Velambada, Gampola last night (19).
According to information received by Gampola STFofficers, 1890 kilos of garbage tea was found in the lorry.
The lorry and the driver has been arrested. The suspect is a 31 year old resident of Velambada. He has been handed over to the Velambada Police Station for further investigations.
