Dematagoda Police have launched an investigation into the murder of a woman who was running a restaurant at the Dematagoda railway track restaurant and the robbery of her jewelery.
Police Media Spokesman SSP Nihal Thalduwa stated that the murder had taken place last night and that the 119 Police Emergency Response Unit had received information about the murder yesterday.
According to a press release issued by the Police Media Spokesman’s Office this morning, the woman is a 48 year old resident of Maligawatte.
According to the media unit, the killer had robbed her of three mobile phones in her possession along with three gold necklaces and three gold rings she was wearing.
The Dematagoda Police and the Colombo Crimes Division are conducting investigations to find the suspects involved in the murder.
