The investigation into the murder of the Atalugama girl has been handed over to the Homicide and Organized Crime Investigation Unit of the CID on the orders of the IGP.
A team of officers from the CID went to the Bandaragama Police Station today and took over the investigation. Subsequently, the officers of the unit have also observed the scene of the crime.
