With the increase in fuel prices this morning, bus fares, three-wheeler fares, kottu, friend rice and rice packets have been increased.
The Minister of Transport Bandula Gunawardena has given his approval today (24) to increase the bus fares.
Bus fares have been increased by 19.5 percent. Accordingly the minimum bus fare is Rs. 32.
Meanwhile, the starting fare for a three wheeler has been increased to Rs. 100 and for every it has been increased to Rs. 80 per every subsequent kilometer increase.
Meanwhile, the price of Kottu, Fried Rice and Rice packets has also been increased by 10%.
