As the Governor of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka, Dr. Nandalal Weerasinghe says that he is very pleased that President’s Counsel Mr. Sanjeewa Jayawardena, and Dr. Rani Jayamaha, who have been appointed as members of the Monetary Board, have agreed to continue to serve on the Monetary Board.
The Communications Department of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka has issued a press release in this regard today.
It states that as members of the Monetary Board, they have always been very independent, impartial, professional, and have contributed very positively to all the activities of the Central Bank.
Dr. Nandalal Weerasinghe further stated that he has full confidence in their professionalism and hopes to receive their continued contribution and valuable guidance to the nation, the Monetary Board and himself as Governor.
