Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardana said he would appoint a committee comprising seven MPs to examine the un-parliamentary scenes which took place in Parliament on Wednesday.
Speaker made this announcement following a request made by the government and opposition MPs to conduct an investigation into the incident.
“I will appoint a seven-member committee to look into the incidents and then take further action based on their recommendations,” the Speaker said.
