Minister Dinesh Gunawardena has told the media that all the cabinet ministers except the Prime Minister have resigned.
Mr. Gunawardena further stated that these steps were taken at the emergency cabinet meeting held on the night of the 3rd.
Prior to this special cabinet meeting, a special discussion was held between the President and the Prime Minister.
This was followed by an emergency meeting of the ruling party followed by a cabinet meeting.
