
Sri Lanka and the United States have agreed to continue to work together on maritime security in accordance with international law-abiding standards to ensure a safe maritime zone in the Indian Ocean.
This was discussed at the 4th Sri Lanka-US Partnership Dialogue held in Colombo today (23).
The meeting was chaired by Victoria Nuland the Deputy Secretary of State for Political Affairs of the US State Department who is on an official visit to Sri Lanka and Prof. GL Peiris the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Sri Lanka.
