Naval officers found 41 kilograms and 540 grams of Kerala cannabis hidden in the Kalpitiya-Mampuriya beach and handed them over to the Norochcholai Police.
According to information received on the evening of the 22nd, the stock of Kerala cannabis was found following an investigation done by the Navy.
The stock of Kerala cannabis was packed in 13 polythene bags.
Police believe that the consignment of Kerala cannabis was brought from India by sea.
The owners of the Kerala cannabis stock have not yet been identified.
Norochcholai police are conducting further investigations.
