Here are the parties that will boycott tomorrow’s All-Party Conference

It has been announced that five parties including the government’s allies will not participate in the All Party Conference to be held tomorrow (23) under the chairmanship of President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa to find a negotiated solution to the current crisis in the country.

The Sri Lanka Freedom Party has announced that they will participate.

The Ceylon Workers Congress (CWC), a government ally, will also not attend the conference, its secretary-general, state minister Jeevan Thondaman has said.

The JVP will not participate and the Jathika Nidahas Peramuna led by Wimal Weerawansa and the Pivithuru Hela Urumaya led by Udaya Gammanpila will also not participate.

The UNP has not yet made a statement on the matter.

The Samagi Jana Balawegaya also states that they will not participate in the conference.

Their national organizer, MP Tissa Attanayake stated that the government is organizing this with the intention of taking the country in another direction and misleading the people.

He further stated that a proposal regarding the steps to be followed by the government in view of the current economic situation will be published in the future.
