Gas stations have been instructed to stop selling diesel into barrels and cans.
Mahesh Alawatte, Regional Administrator of the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation states that the Sri Lanka Police has been informed to take action against the distributors who act contrary to the law.
He also said that the Petroleum Corporation will take disciplinary action against those who distribute/sell fuel in such manner.
