Police have arrested four persons for breaking into a mobile phone shop in Kathankudy and stealing 71 mobile phones worth around Rs. 2.5 million.
The theft had taken place on the night of the 3rd. The suspects were arrested by the Kathankudy Police yesterday after conducting an extensive investigation.
The arrested suspects are aged between 19 and 50 and are residents of Akkaraipattu and Waripathanchena areas.
Police say that 23 stolen mobile phones were found in the possession of the suspects.
The suspects are due to be produced in court today (14).
