The Restaurant Owners’ Association states that the prices of plain tea and other foods and beverages will increase in the future due to the increase in the price of wheat flour and fuel.
Its chairman Asela Sampath says that depending on the current situation, the price of a packet of rice will have to be increased by at least 20 or 30 rupees.
He further stated that with the increase in the price of flour, the price of a kottu will have to be increased by 10 or 15 rupees.
