Newly appointed US Ambassador to Sri Lanka Julie Chung visited the Floating Market in Pettah yesterday.
After a brief chat with its owners, she says the floating market is a wonderful experience.
She says it is a pleasure to know about the entrepreneurs in the floating market, as well as their products.
After her appointment in Sri Lanka, she is also learning to speak Sinhala.
Born in Seoul, South Korea, she received her further education in the United States and is serving the United States government as an American citizen.
