The Governor of the Eastern Province Mrs. Anuradha Yahampath has instructed the heads of all state institutions in the Eastern Province to reduce their electricity consumption by 20% to 50% from this month.
Following a special discussion with Finance Minister Basil Rajapaksa, the Governor issued the order to the heads of state institutions.
Accordingly, the Governor informed the heads of state institutions that the electricity bills of all state institutions in the Eastern Province should be reduced by 20% to 50% from this month.
