Water Supply and Drainage Minister Vasudeva Nanayakkara has stated that he will stay away from his post duties from today.
“I will not be going to the cabinet for the next three years. I will not fulfill any responsibilities in the ministry,” he said.
He also said that this is not a resignation from the ministry. “If necessary, I can stay without getting the minister’s salary. MP’s salary will be enough.” Minister Vasudeva Nanayakkara said.
He was speaking at a media briefing held today with Udaya Gammanpila, Wimal Weerawansa and other party leaders who were removed from their ministries.
