    Harin and Manusha go to Geneva for Ranjan

    Two parliamentarians of the Samagi Jana Balawewa have left for Geneva this morning to appear before the UN Human Rights Commission on behalf of former parliamentarian Ranjan Ramanayake, who is serving a prison sentence for contempt of court.

    They are Harin Fernando and Manusha Nanayakkara.

    The 49th session of the United Nations Human Rights Council is currently being held in Geneva.

    UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Michelle Bachelet is due to release her report on Sri Lanka tomorrow.
