The Public Utilities Commission says that there will be a power cut of nearly 5 hours today.
Power cuts of duration 4 hours and 40 minutes in A-B-C zones and 4 hours and 30 minutes in other zones will occur today.
It is reported that the Ceylon Electricity Board has informed the Public Utilities Commission that there should be a 7-hour power cut today.
According to the Utilities Commission, the electricity generators with a capacity of about 700 megawatts have been shut down.
