The Inter-Provincial Private Bus Owners’ Association states that about 300 inter-provincial bus services have been canceled due to fuel shortages.
Its chairman Sarath Vijitha Kumara says that if this situation continues, the bus service will come to a complete halt and passengers will be severely inconvenienced.
He also said that in some areas, due to the lack of normal diesel, super diesel has to be bought at a higher price.
