A student of Nattandiya Dhammissara National School has died due to the Covid virus infection yesterday.
The deceased has been identified as B. M. T. Manisha Kumari, a Grade 6 student of the college and a resident of Tabbowa.
She died while receiving treatment at the Intensive Care Unit of the Marawila Hospital for two days.
She was admitted to the hospital on the 28th due to symptoms of Covid after returning home from school and tests revealed that she was infected with Covid.
