The Cabinet of Ministers will be briefed today (31) on the US $ 200 million loan facility to be provided to Sri Lanka by Pakistan, the Ministry of Finance said.
Trade Minister Dr. Bandula Gunawardena recently visited Pakistan and during the visit it was discussed on obtaining the relevant loan.
The loan will be used to import rice, cement and medicines required for the country, said Trade Minister Dr. Bandula Gunawardena.
He added that the relevant imports will be made by the Sri Lanka Chamber of Commerce.
