Another 82 Omicron patients have been identified in Sri Lanka.
Dr. Chandima Jeewandara, Head of the Department of Allergy, Anthropology and Cell Biology, Faculty of Medicine, University of Sri Jayewardenepura, said that they met during research conducted at the University Laboratory.
It was also reported that at present, 95% of the covid infections found in Sri Lanka within a day are of the Omicron type.
