Minister of Labor Nimal Siripala de Silva has requested a World Bank delegation to assist in the formulation of a Social Security and Pension Scheme for Private Sector Employees.
According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Labor, Minister made this request during a discussion with a World Bank delegation at the Ministry of Labor.
The Minister has said that due to the lack of strong social security and pension system in the private sector, the majority of people are only looking for government jobs.
