The National Water Supply and Drainage Board says that there is a risk of a drinking water supply crisis in the future due to the severe dry weather conditions prevailing these days.
Its Assistant General Manager Ekanayake Weerasinghe said that water should be used sparingly to minimize this situation.
He further urged the people to consume drinking water giving priority to essential activities.
