IGP Mr. C. D. Wickramaratne has informed the Ministry of Public Defense that the Senior DIG Attorney-at-Law Ajith Rohana has been appointed to cover the duties of the Police Media Spokesman.
The letter sent by the IGP to the Secretary to the Ministry of Public Security states that Ajith Rohana will be appointed to cover the duties of the Police Media Spokesman until a permanent Spokesman is appointed.
Ajith Rohana will be appointed as the Police Media Spokesman in the next few days as there is no objection from the Ministry of Public Security.
SSP Nihal Thalduwa, Attorney-at-Law, is currently the Police Media Spokesman. He is the Director of the Police Media Division.
