Several special decisions were taken at the Executive Committee meeting held yesterday (07) regarding the players representing the Sri Lanka National Cricket Team for immediate action.
Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) said in a statement that the decisions were taken regarding players who want to retire from national cricket and those who have retired.
- Players intending to retire from the National Cricket Board must notify Sri Lanka Cricket three months in advance that they intend to retire.
- Certificates of No Objection (NOCs) are issued to retiring players to play in foreign franchise league cricket tournaments, who have completed six months from the date of their official retirement.
- Retired national players qualify for local leagues such as the LPL only if they have played 80% of the matches in local cricket.
These decisions have been made.
