Sri Lanka’s Minister of Trade Dr. Bandula Gunawardena has stated that the containers containing essential goods that are stuck in the Colombo port will be released by next week.
A list of containers containing essential items including sugar, dhal, and rice will be sent to the Central Bank of Sri Lanka and released after obtaining the necessary recommendations, the Minister said.
The Minister also assured that there would be no food shortage in Sri Lanka.
