Paramedics and interim medical professionals will go on strike tomorrow (24) and the day after tomorrow, said Ravi Kumudesh, chairman of the Supplementary Medicine and Paramedical Services trade unions.
Ravi Kumudesh said the strike was based on a number of demands including the elimination of salary anomalies, the promotion of paramedical and medical professionals’ staff, the correction of pay anomalies and the increase of the special duty allowance to Rs. 10,000.
Ravi Kumudesh also said that paramedics and medical professionals had gone on a token strike on the 17th.
He added that they are taking this step as the government continues to avoid the problems of paramedical and medical professionals.
