The Department of Motor Traffic has focused its attention on conducting the written test for obtaining a driving license under the supervision of the Department of Examinations.
It is expected to be operational from next year, a senior official in the Office of the Commissioner of Motor Vehicles said.
The official said that the decision was taken after considering the large number of people applying for driving licenses after appearing for the GCE Advanced Level examination.
