Landslide warning has been issued for several parts of the island due to heavy rains.
Accordingly, landslide warnings have been issued for Kegalle, Kurunegala, Ratnapura, Matale, Badulla, Galle, Kalutara and Kandy districts.
Landslide warnings have been issued for Ella, Passara Areas in Badulla District, Nagoda, Baddegama, Elpitiya, Neluwa in Galle District, Agalawatta, Bulathsinhala in Kalutara District and Ganga Ihala Korale, Yatinuwara, Pasbage Korale, Gangawata Korale, Udunuwara, Doluwa, Harispathuwa, Pathahewaheta, Udapalatha in the Kandy District.
Meanwhile, Yatiyantota, Aranayake, Bulathkohupitiya, Kegalle, Ruwanwella, Rambukkana and Mawanella in the Kegalle District, Mallawapitiya Mawathagama in the Kurunegala District, Kalawana in the Ratnapura District, Kuruwita in the Ratnapura District and the Rattota in the Matale District are also at risk and warnings have been issued.
