Inter-provincial public transport services commenced today (01) with the removal of travel restrictions between provinces that had been active for several months due to the CKovid epidemic.
Minister of State Dilum Amunugama stated that the public transport services operating between the provinces will be operated only for seated passengers.
Also, train services will resume normal operations from today.
Accordingly, the train service, which was previously restricted to season ticket holders only, will be open to all passengers from today.
