Top US health officials are confident that the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine can be given to children between the ages of 5-11 by the end of October.
Even though there’s still ample clinical trial evidence for this vaccine for the above age group, it will only be used in children after it is approved for emergency use by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
It is said that the relevant permission will be received by the end of this month after further testings to see if this vaccine is suitable for children.
The children and their parents who have to go to school in the midst of the Delta Wave spread are the most alarmed by this news.
