The Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) says that there is a serious risk of the country falling into a dark abyss in the future due to the authorities rejecting the plans of the engineers.
Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) Executive Committee Member Charitha Jayanath has said that the country will face a severe power crisis in the future due to the refusal of coal power plants by creating a fake coal mafia.
Mr. Jayanath said that CEB engineers have since raised the need for low cost coal power plants, which are a form of power generation.
He also said that solar panel manufacturers and NGO agents have painted a wrong picture for the authorities and the country in the hope of making a profit.
