Subject: Concerns Regarding the Scope of Investigation
Dear Sahan at NewsWave,
I hope this letter finds you well. As a hard-working Sri Lankan striving to ensure the safety of my family and contribute to the country’s rebuilding efforts, I am compelled to bring a matter of significant concern to your attention.
To the esteemed Tax Investigation Committee,
I appreciate your dedicated efforts in investigating matters crucial to the well-being of our nation. However, I would like to seek clarity on the scope of your investigation. Are you exclusively focusing on businesses and the general public, or does your mandate extend to scrutinizing politicians and their interconnected businesses as well?
It is crucial to recognize that the success of any investigation hinges on its comprehensive approach. The people of Sri Lanka are keenly aware of the potential consequences if the investigation does not address issues from the top down. Therefore, I urge you to consider initiating the enforcement of laws and regulations at the highest echelons, targeting high-profile individuals and those at the apex of the hierarchy.
By beginning the application of laws rigorously with influential figures, we believe that those at the grassroots level will willingly adhere to the same standards, eliminating the need for force or constant supervision. Our collective goal is to rebuild the country, and this endeavor demands a fair and inclusive investigation that leaves no sector untouched.
It is my sincere hope that you take into account the concerns of the citizens who are genuinely invested in the betterment of Sri Lanka. Addressing these issues comprehensively will foster a sense of trust and unity in our shared pursuit of a brighter future.
Thank you for your attention and commitment to upholding justice.
Sincerely,
Syafiqul Haq
A Concerned Sri Lankan Citizen
