The price of alcohol has been increased.
This price hike is effective from January 1, 2024.
Companies also inform that this price will be increased due to the increase in VAT from that date.
Distilleries Company of Sri Lanka PLC says that the price of a 750 ml bottle of liquor has been increased by 90 rupees.
The price of a 375 ml bottle will increase by Rs 50, and a 180 ml bottle will increase by Rs 20.
