The government has also taken steps to shut down the ‘Itukama Covid Health and Social Security Fund’ website, which was started when the global epidemic of COVID-19 was spreading in this country.
Accordingly, the bank account of ‘Itukama’, which was used to raise awareness about the spread of COVID-19 in Sri Lanka and to collect funds to prevent the spread of the disease, has been closed.
As the government has decided to remove the domain name of the itukama.lk website, which has ended its operation by now, the President’s Office has informed all the people to be aware of the fact that there is a possibility that the website name may be taken from other parties and misused.
Earlier this was maintained by the President’s Office.
It has been informed that the operations of the ‘Itukama Covid Health and Social Security Fund’ have been terminated and the relevant bank account and website will be suspended with effect from 28-10-2022.
After controlling the spread of Covid disease, the detailed report of the money credited to the web fund has been presented on the home page of the website.
