The Irrigation Department has warned that several areas near major reservoirs may experience flooding.
According to that, there is a possibility of flooding in the areas of the River Nilwala spillway in Pasgoda, Kotapola, Pitabeddara, Akurassa, Athuraliya, Malimbada, Thihagoda, Matara and Devinuwara Divisional Secretariat Divisions.
The Irrigation Department asked the public in those areas to be careful in this regard.
Drivers are also advised to be more careful when driving in these areas.
