The Department of Population and Statistics announced that inflation rose to 3.4% last November.
Accordingly, the consumer inflation rate of the Colombo urban community has increased to 3.4% for the month of November 2023. It had been reported at 1.5% for October 2023.
Food category inflation has increased to -3.6% in November 2023. In October 2023, it was recorded as -5.2%.
Also, the annual inflation of the non-food category has increased to 6.8% for the month of November, which was recorded as 4.9% in the month of October 2023.
