Sources revealed that Senior Deputy Inspector General of Police Deshbandu Tennakoon has been appointed as Acting Inspector General of Police.
Mr. Deshbandu Tennakoon is scheduled to visit the Gangarama temple after receiving the relevant appointment at the President’s Secretariat. It is for religious purposes.
Police information also revealed that many police officers are waiting at the Gangarama temple awaiting the arrival of the Acting Inspector General of Police.
