A 36-year-old father who raped his 16-year-old daughter has shot himself.
Yesterday afternoon, the father shot himself in a house located in Pannalagama in Damana police domain.
The police say that five months ago, he had raped his daughter and according to a complaint received by the police, when the police went to the house to arrest him, he closed the doors and shot himself.
The police also stated that the shooting was done with a locally made gun.
