The Ministry of Health has taken steps to re-export a consignment of chillies imported from Pakistan.
It is due to the presence of aflatoxin in the chili stock in question.
An official of the Food Control Unit of the Ministry of Health said that 25 containers of chili were among them.
He also mentioned that a group of businessmen from Sri Lanka had imported the chillies.
Meanwhile, the food control unit of the Ministry of Health has introduced a telephone number to report problems related to the quality of food.
