State Minister Diana Gamage, a Member of Parliament of the Samagi Jana Balawegaya party, has complained to the Welikada Police that Mr. Rohana Bandara and Mr. Sujith Sanjana, the members of Parliament of the same Party, insulted and assaulted her near the MP entrance of the Parliament complex.
It is stated in her complaint to the police that she was verbally abused by Rohana Bandara member of parliament and was assaulted by member of parliament Sujith Sanjana.
The police has also issued a medical form as she has said that she needs to be hospitalized after making the complaint. She was admitted to the Sri Jayawardenepura Hospital last night after taking the medical form with her.
