It is reported that there has been a movement in the deep sea off Batticaloa at around 1.30 am today (11).
It is in the deep sea 310 km off the coast of Batticaloa.
The Bureau of Geology and Mining says that there is no tsunami risk due to the earthquake, which recorded a magnitude of 4.6 on the Richter scale.
