The Minister of Public Security Mr. Tiran Alas participated in an observation tour of the Bandaranaike International Airport today (17).
Mr. Tiran Alas, who inspected the immigration officers’ cubical windows set up at the passenger arrival terminal and the departure terminal, discussed the ground plan to provide efficient and effective service to air passengers as well as immigration services in accordance with other international airport conditions.
The establishment of new e-gate counters was also brought to the attention of Mr. Tiran Alas.
The Minister of Public Security also gave instructions to set up a new CCTV camera control center. The minister also explained that this camera system will be able to analyze data using new technical software.
The Chairman of the Airport and Aviation Service Company retired Major General GA Chandrasiri, Public Security Ministry Secretary Mr. Viyani Gunathilaka, Immigration Department Controller General Harsha Ilukpitiya and airport officials participated in this observation tour.
