A police sergeant who was in possession of a 16-bore firearm without a license was arrested by the officers of the Seethaawaka Divisional Criminal Investigation Bureau.
This sergeant attached to the Kollupitiya Police was arrested with the firearm yesterday (09) evening.
He was arrested at his residence in Medagoda, Amitirigala.
This sergeant was arrested according to an investigation carried out according to a letter received from the Ministry of State Security.
