The school calendar for the second and third terms of this year has been officially released by the Ministry of Education along with the exam dates.
Accordingly, the school vacation will be effective from August 18 to August 27. The classes will start on August 28 and continue till October 27.
The grade five scholarship exam is scheduled to be held on October 15 (Sunday).
School starts on October 30th and extends to November 24th. School holidays will be in effect from November 25 to December 31.
The GCE Advanced Level examination is scheduled to be held between November 27 and December 21.
The final phase of the third school term begins on January 1, 2024 and ends on February 16.
The Ministry of Education has already communicated this information through an official circular to various educational authorities, including provincial chief secretaries, provincial education secretaries, provincial education directors, regional education directors, all pirivens and all government and government-aided private schools.
