A Mawathagama police constable has been suspended for not recording the complaint of a person who came to complain that his daughter-in-law was being assaulted by his son.

This police constable is an officer working at Mawathagama Police Station after receiving a temporary transfer from Nelliadi Police Station.
This officer was on duty at the police station from 6.00 pm on the 17th to 6.00 am the next day.
