Central Bank Governor Dr. Nandalal Weerasinghe has revealed today the reason for announcing a long bank holiday next weekend.
That is to get the time required for the domestic debt restructuring process.
The Governor of the Central Bank mentioned this while making a special statement this afternoon (25).
A long bank holiday has been announced from 29th to 3rd July.
The Governor of the Central Bank has emphasized that the deposits of any bank in Sri Lanka will not be harmed in the process of restructuring the domestic debt.
