The police fired water and tear gas this afternoon (07) to disperse a group of students of the Inter-University Student Union who were on a protest march.
According to a court order, the police fired tear gas and dispersed the students to prevent public harassment.
However, a heated situation arose between the students and the police, and despite the police baton attacks and tear gas, the students were also seen resisting.
